Grab a seat and order up a Prohibition-era cocktail, a gin-based Bee’s Knees, perhaps, which comes with a side of Charleston dance history, or a Bathtub Fizz - served in a little bathtub. The Underground offers a full bar, a distillery and a cocktail parlor hidden behind a wall. Then head down to the basement for a drink. Trek through the museum first, where exhibits and interactive experiences teach visitors about mob bosses, organized crime and law enforcement. Perhaps the most well-known speakeasy - a personal fave that commits to the theme of the era - is The Underground at Las Vegas’ Mob Museum. On the Speakeasies and Famous Bartenders menu, you’ll find drinks inspired by the best in the industry throughout history. You’ll find drinks like Penicillin with scotch, honey, lemon, ginger, and islay, or the Junglebird, with dark rum, bitter Italian aperitif, pineapple, and lime. The Modern-Day menu brings more modern spirits into creative drinks that will please any palate. Each of the four selections on this menu contains various bitters for an elevated cocktail. With the more classic drinks and those with a history, this menu includes drinks like a traditional Old Fashioned and a Japanese Cocktail with cognac, orgeat, and angostura. You’ll find five cocktails on this menu, each with its own distinctive flavor profile. There’s also the Summer Home with gin, cucumber, strawberry, ginger, orange, and effervescence. This menu has treasures like Arsenic Meets Lace, a cocktail with rye or aged gin, vermouth, elderflower, and anisette. Here’s an overview of their specialty drink menus. Keep in mind that if you are looking for beer and wine, this is not the spot for you since they serve cocktails only.
